THE LATE PROF. JAMES NDUKAKU AMANKULOR BIOGRAPHY

The late Prof. James Ndukaku Amankulor was born on the 14th day of February, in the year, 1941. He was the first of six siblings from the family of Pa Chindianu Ishmael and Mama Akwaugo Rosanna Amankulor, (both of blessed memory), and hailed from the Owo/Obia kindred of Umuode village, in today’s Ikenna Nsulu Autonomous Community in Isiala-Ngwa North L.G.A of Abia State, Nigeria.

His scholarly journey began quite early in his life as an infant when his father, being one of the earliest people to embrace Christianity and of course, the Catholic faith in Umuode, fell in love with education, and thus never hesitated to enroll the little James into what was then known as ‘infant education’ under the tutelage of a certain a teacher who was living in Umuode at the time.
